Our Founding Story

Ascend was founded by two Ivy League graduates who saw first-hand how access to world-class higher education transforms lives. Driven by this conviction, we combine dedicated study abroad pathways, expert mentorship, and strategic admissions counseling to empower ambitious students get into the world's top universities.

Mr.Thaw Zin Aung Gyi

Co-Founder

Sayr Thaw Zin Aung Gyi leads Ascend with a strong foundation in global policy, leadership, and higher education. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Oxford.

Mr.Min Thaw Htut

Co-Founder

Sayr Min Thaw Htut drives Ascend’s strategic vision and growth. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the National University of Singapore.
